Click the Picky icon in your Chrome toolbar, or press Alt + Shift + I. A floating, draggable toolbar appears with the Inspect and Measure tools. Press the same shortcut again to hide it.

Picky can't run on Chrome's internal pages (chrome://, the Web Store, and the new-tab page) for security reasons. Try it on a normal website. If it still doesn't show, reload the tab after installing, or remove and re-add the extension.

Switch to the Measure tool in the floating toolbar, click the first element, then click the second. Picky draws dimension scales with the exact pixel distance between them. Press Escape to exit measure mode.

No. Edits are applied as temporary inline styles in your browser only and disappear when you reload the page. Nothing is saved to the website or sent anywhere — it's a sandbox for trying out values.

No. Picky has no servers and no analytics. The only thing it stores is small preferences (like where you dragged the toolbar) using Chrome's local storage on your own device. Read more in the Privacy Policy.

Yes. From the inspect panel you can copy the selected element as CSS, Tailwind, SVG, or JSON, and copy individual color values as HEX, RGB, or HSL.

Yes, Picky is free to install and use. If that changes, we'll say so clearly on this site first.
